Let’s make this simple for you with a few easy tips.

By implementing just one of these tips, you could increase your turnover considerably.

When you log in to your LinkedIn profile and see a message that reads “9 people have looked at your profile in the past four days”, you need to take some action.

First, you must realize the nine people that have read your profile are ‘warm’ and maybe ‘hot’ leads.

Now is the time for you to act.

By the way, if you have not been into your profile for a while you can check who has viewed your profile by hovering over the ‘Profile’ tag and clicking the ‘who’s viewed your profile’ button.

Next, you need to follow up on those leads.

For your 1st connections:

You reach out to your leads with an invitation, for example:

“Thank you for viewing my profile, if there is something I can help you with I would love for you to reply to this message.”

For your 2nd and 3rd connections:

“Thank you for viewing my profile, it would be nice to have you in my network.”

By using these invitations, you will increase your connections and prospects.

By the way, as I mentioned in a previous post, you need to have your ‘Summary’ and ‘Profile’ optimized for peak performance.

Your profile needs to engage your viewers’ attention and tell them why you are the answer to their problem.

 

Follow-up

I cannot emphasize the importance of following up asap when you receive a reply or see where someone has viewed your profile.

If you let these messages lapse, then the prospect will normally go cold, and you miss the opportunity of a sale.

By following up quickly, you will build some very meaningful business relationships which will, in turn, be reflected in your bank balance.

Sharing useful information

Sharing useful information is another way to remind your connections what you do.

When you find a useful article or update your connections may be interested in, share it.

This sharing puts you and your profile in front of your prospects and may lead to further conversations with them.

 

How to find ‘shareable’ content

A great way to find content worth sharing is to join groups and see what their interests are.

For instance, a popular subject now is where ‘3D printing’ is helping business.

If you can find a link to some credible information on this subject, it is well worth sharing and will put your profile in the spotlight.

You would introduce this link with an informative comment.

This process displays your profile to all members of the group.
