“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door”. -Milton Berle
Where is the best place to get leads for your business?
LinkedIn of course.
Because LinkedIn is where 425++ million business people hang out.
But everyone knows this, don’t they?
Well maybe, but most people don’t know how to use LinkedIn to attract leads.
How would you enjoy leads coming in every day?
What would your business look like in a week or a month? How about in twelve months’ time?
So much for the questions you say, give me some information on how I can do this without breaking the bank.
Here are 11 different strategies you can apply to have a consistent flow of leads
#1 Engaging profile: your profile is the first thing your prospect sees when they land on your page. It needs to talk to your prospect…telling them that you are the best person to work with. If you need help with this make sure you employ the right specialist.
#2 Useful information: build some useful posts into your profile. If you can’t write them yourself, employ an expert.
#3 Optimized profile: you need to have an optimized profile so as prospects can find you. It needs to be search engine friendly. The LinkedIn and Google search engines work together so your profile needs to be keyword rich.
#4 Ask for a connection: reach out to people that you think may require your services. Don’t bomb them with sales copy. Just ask them if it would be a benefit to connecting. When they look at your profile, your profile will do some of the selling for you.
# 5 Use the LinkedIn search engine to find leads: type into the search box the information to find the right prospect.
# 6 Scroll through profiles: when you find the right prospect, scroll down through their profile. This will alert them that you have been studying their profile. In return this will often stir their curiosity and they will have a look at your profile. Once again your optimized engaging profile will do the selling for you.
#7 Be very specific: find out what your keywords are that explain your business perfectly. Now use these keywords in all your marketing material. To be successful you need to engage your leads quickly with content that does not confuse them. Content that explains who you are very quickly and decisively.
# 8 Join groups: you can join up to fifty groups. The mistake a lot of businesses make here is only joining groups that are in the same industry as themselves. Although this is great to keep up with the trends generally it does not sell your business. Most of the groups you join need to be your prospects. If you don’t know how to do this, you could ask here.
# 9 Be active: when you join these groups you need to get involved. You need to comment and like other members’ conversations.
# 10 Post to groups: take the posts from your profile and post them to your relevant groups. Be careful and don’t push your sales pitch. It is ok to put a small reference to your business at the end of your post.
# 11 Thank people: when people view your profile, LinkedIn will notify you. Thank these people for viewing your profile and ask them if you can help them in any way.
These are just some of the ways to attract more leads. To have more highly targeted leads flowing to you on a daily basis, here is an excellent resource to answer your questions and to increasingly put more money in your pocket.
